“Finding Creative: a documentary on local artists” explores the creative process through interviews and conversations with local Bellingham, Wa. artists. This episode features Troy Terpstra.
Troy Terpstra has split his time as a painter over the last five years between the Pacific Northwest and France. He has had artist residencies in Skagit County, Paris, Bellingham, and the Mediterranean city of Montpellier. He currently resides in Bellingham Washington.
He loves the early 20th century masters, and sites the time spent at the Musee D’Orsay as highly influential. Terpstra also enjoys improvising as a member of the mainstage at the Upfront Theatre as well as harboring deep interests in writing, theology, Shakespeare, the thought of Rene Girard, and basketball.
